Why we do yoga? For losing weight? To stay in shape? To exercise ? For anti-ageing or for your physical and mental health ?

All are good reasons to start yoga and the reason you started doing yoga does not matter. Whatever the reason, the fact that you opened the new door of yoga practice is the same which is amazing thing.

Yoga means "union" or "connection" In Sanskrit , and the experience of connection is a state of yoga, that is a joyful and blissful, fulfilling experience. Hatha yoga is "moving meditation" that eventually leads you to a state of meditation. When you are in yoga poses- your mind is focused, concentrated and just in the present moment, there is no path or future, your body and mind are connected when you are just in the present moment.

Yoga will internally and externally tune your entire physical system and asana will release tension and increase blood circulation, digestion and give you more stability.
